LIFEMARK SENIOR WELLNESS in partnership with Acclaim Health and Ontario Central Health is offering FREE exercise classes, falls prevention and osteoporosis programs for seniors, older adults with disabilities and those that suffer from chronic illness.

12-WEEK PROGRAMS(Registration Required)
- This 12-week program focuses on providing a consistent approach to prevent and manage falls, reduce injuries associated with falls and improve safety within the participant's home.
- Program includes pre and post assessment, education, and exercise - 15 minutes of educational discussion of various topics related to falls prevention and management with 30 minutes of exercise that will focus on improving balance and increasing strength, flexibility and agility.
- Participants are required to register prior to the start of the program and has to attend 2 classes each week, for 12 weeks.
- For participants with the diagnosis of Osteopenia or Osteoporosis, at risk for Osteoporosis or those with a history of Osteoporosis
- This 12-week program will help educate individuals about bone loss prevention, the activities and factors that affect bone loss, and exercises that will help maintain and build bone mass.
- Program includes pre and post assessment, education and exercise - 15 minutes of educational discussion of various topics related to osteoporosis and bone loss prevention with 30 minutes of exercise geared towards building muscle, improving balance and preventing bone loss.
- Participants are required to register prior to the start of the program and has to attend 2 classes each week for 12 weeks.
GENERAL EXERCISE PROGRAMS (Registration Required)
- Moderate-intensity class that is intended for participants who have completed Osteoporosis Primary.
- Involves strengthening exercises that make use of exercise bands, dumbbells, and body weight.
- This 30-45 minute class geared towards building muscle, improving balance and preventing bone loss.
- Low-intensity class that is suitable for beginners to intermediate fitness levels.
- This 30-45 minute class will improve flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance.
- Higher intensity exercise class that involves more standing based exercises.
- Involves exercises that make use of exercise bands, dumbbells and body weight.
- This 30-45 minute class will improve flexibility, muscle strength, and your endurance.
- Slow speed, graceful movement class with an emphasis on deep breathing and mental focus while seated.
- This 30-45 minute class helps improve balance and immune system, strengthen the upper and lower body, reduces blood pressure and bone loss, relieve arthritic pain, promote faster healing of various ailments and conditions.
- Exercise paired to music to make you groove in your seat! The music will bring out your inner spunk and child to lighten your mood.
- This 30-45 minute class helps improve the range of motion and function of arms and legs, build core strength for day-to-day abilities.
- Gentle movement exercise that includes modified yoga techniques while seated.
- This 30-45 minute class helps improve the function, mobility, and range of motion of the spine and other joints in the body by releasing tension in the shoulders, neck, chest, hips and lower back.
- Also promotes strengthening of the core/abdominal muscles, shoulders, upper back and thighs.
- Simple stretching techniques and movements for healthy flexibility.
- This 30-45 minute class helps relieve aches and pains and provides freedom of movement to perform daily activities such as getting dressed and reaching for an object on a top shelf.
- Moderate intensity class including sitting and standing exercises with a primary focus on full-body balance.
- This 30-45 minute class will help with coordination, strength, and overall balance with a variety of challenging exercises.
